July 2, 1979 ~ August 11, 2025

Jeremy Jacob Eddins, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Columbus, Indiana. Jeremy was born on July 2, 1979, the son of Ronald Dean and Julia Ann McQueary Eddins. He met and married the love of his life, Michelle Diane Smith on September 17, 2005. A proud graduate of Purdue University, Jeremy earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering and went on to serve as a respected engineer at Cummins for over a decade. Raised in Nashville, Indiana, Jeremy was a true outdoorsman at heart. He found solace and joy in turkey and deer hunting, embracing the tranquility and challenge of the woods. He settled in Brown County with his wife on a farm previously owned by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Phyllis McQueary, called Wildwood Farm. It was there they enjoyed having family gather for many events. In the evening, Jeremy and his wife would enjoy riding around the farm on the side-by-side. Jeremy further enjoyed swimming and fishing in the pond and could be found often sitting under the shade tree. Jeremy's generosity knew no bounds. He was often the first to step up and help anyone in need. Many times, Jeremy’s friends and family would often find him for advice and lean on his shoulders in personal matters. Jeremy just had a way of helping people. Family was the cornerstone of Jeremy's life. He was a loving husband and a devoted father, always putting their needs and happiness first. His siblings knew him as a great brother. Jeremy took immense pride in watching his children play sports, cheering them on from the sidelines with unwavering support. A dedicated family man in the eyes of everyone that knew him. Jeremy is survived by his father, his loving wife, Michelle, his children, Cameron Elizabeth, Seth Robert, and Gavin Jacob Eddins, his siblings; Josh Eddins, John (Heather Nifong) Eddins, and Luke (Rachel) Eddins, a sister; Sarah (Josh) Hawley, several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend since youth, C.J. Guestbook

  1. I’ve come to know Jeremy for the past several years as part of my work involvement with Cummins. I have worked for and with him, and to have come to know him a little along the way. A smart, calm, and enjoyable person with a sense of pride for family, home, and work. I consider myself both fortunate and blessed to have known him for the time that I have. He is and will be greatly missed. Craig Pilarski
