Tyler Duane Branstetter, 29, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on September 10th, 2025. He was born on May 21, 1996, in Columbus, Indiana, the beloved son of Sonya Pierce and Craig Branstetter. Tyler was known for his hardworking nature, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger and lived his life with a heart full of kindness. Tyler loved being outdoors. Whether it was fishing, golfing, or simply spending time in nature. Above all, Tyler loved his children. They were his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment. His devotion to them was unmatched, and his love will live on through them always. He is survived by his three children Rory, Reece, and Rowan Branstetter; his long term fiancée and mother of his three children, Chelsie McClain; his father Craig and wife Traci Branstetter, as well as their three children Bayleigh (Jaime) Shrader, Mason and Logan Branstetter; his mother, Sonya Pierce; his sister Bailey (Chelsea) Branstetter; his nieces and nephew Elliana, Wyatt, and McKinleigh; his great-grandmother Eileen Pierce; as well as his grandparents Marvin (Darlene) Branstetter and Connie (Mike) Manchester; and his step-grandparents Jeff Fawbush and John (DJ) Wall. Tyler also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Allen Pierce; his step-brother Derek Lodestein; and his step-grandmother Sue Fawbush. Tyler’s Life Celebration® Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th Street, Columbus. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 16th, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Cremation will follow. Tyler will be remembered for his big heart, his laughter, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.   5. There are no words for this loss. Nothing anyone could ever say to take away this pain. I pray that you all look to God and lean on Him during this time. Although, I never knew Tyler as a man, only a child. He was always the light in the room, loving, and a little ornery. I will remember him just that way. Sending my love and prayers to the entire family.

  6. So hard to imagine that this young man that I remember as a young boy gone so soon. I remember the Go-Kart racing by the river with the bright red hair. Praying for his family and friends.
