Robin Dawn Hamner, 61, of North Vernon, died at 9:00 p.m. on October 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Robin was born March 22, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky; the daughter of Marvin Baxter and Connie (Snawder) Horn. She married Doug Hamner on August 17, 2001. Robin had an outgoing spirit and a love for people that made everyone feel welcome in her presence. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures like coloring, visiting the zoo, and watching Christmas movies no matter the season. Her love for Christmas lights reflected the warmth and brightness she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Robin’s greatest joy in life was her family; her world truly revolved around them. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, who brought endless laughter and light to her days. Robin is survived by her mother and step-father, Connie and Alvin Horn of Florida; son, Kyle (Shelby) Vaught; daughters, Nastassia (David) Powers and Christy Ramirez, all of North Vernon; brothers, Jerry (Angela) Baxter of Elizabethtown, Chad Baxter and Mikey Baxter, both of Kentucky, and Todd Horn of Montana; sisters, Patty Baxter and Angela Baxter both of Kentucky; Marvina (Travis) Horn of Columbus, Sheila Fair, Tracy Horn, Darby Stewart, and Dundee Horn all of Florida; grandchildren, Trinity Vaught, Alexis Tolman, Samantha Tolman, Ariuna Vaught, Kylie Vaught, Kyi Vaught, Dawson Powers, Natasha Powers, Emily Gold, Isabella Gold, Jason Beam, and Lola Beam; and great-grandchild, Jackson Smith. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Baxter, husband, Doug Hamner; and grandchild, Ariel Vaught. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Jewell Rittman Funeral Home with Pastor W. Sherman Beville officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Reddington Cemetery in Reddington, Indiana. Services were entrusted with Jewell Rittman Funeral Home.
