Arnold "Randy" Burton
March 6, 1961 ~ November 8, 2025
Arnold “Randy” Burton, 64, of Columbus, IN, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Randy was born in Columbus on March 6, 1961 to Arnold Burton and Janet Blair Burton.
Randy was a man of entrepreneurial spirit, having owned and operated his successful cleaning business, Tidy Maid Cleaning Service, for many years. His dedication to his work was evident in the impeccable service he provided to his clients and the strong relationships he built within the community.
Beyond his professional life, Randy was a man of diverse interests and a lover of the great outdoors. He was an avid mushroom hunter, often found wandering the woods in search of hidden treasures after a rain. His love for fishing was well-known among his friends, as he spent countless tranquil hours by the water, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch.
Music was another of Randy's passions, and he could often be heard humming the tunes of classic rock bands, with a particular fondness for the Grateful Dead. One of his favorite pastimes was playing his guitar. His love for their music was more than just a hobby; it was a soundtrack to his life, accompanying him through both the highs and the lows.
In honoring Randy's memory, we reflect on the words of the Grateful Dead, which he so cherished, "What a long, strange trip it's been." Indeed, Randy's journey was unique and filled with moments of beauty, challenge, and triumph. May we all find comfort in knowing that Randy's trip was one well-traveled, and his story will be told for generations to come.
