Dennis James Peters

Dennis James Peters, 73, of Columbus, IN, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born in Columbus, IN on April 29, 1952 to Harry E. Peters and Phyllis A. Fish Peters. Dennis was a proud alumnus of Purdue University and he dedicated many years to Peters Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, contributing in a variety of leadership positions and service ministries. A private memorial service was held at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bauman officiating. Private inurnment was held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, through the funeral home. Survivors include his brothers, Mitchell E. (Martha) Peters of Columbus, IN, and David B. Peters of Bettendorf, IA; nephew, Aaron M. (Heather L.) Peters of Columbus, IN; great niece and nephew, Gabriela L. (Noah) Czereszko of Columbus, IN and Elijah A. Peters of Cincinnati, OH; great-great nephews, December and Wyndham Czereszko of Columbus, IN. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Phyllis Peters and a nephew, Jason A. Peters.
