Diana Kay Kinman (Minks), age 82, passed away on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma, Diana will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity towards others.
Diana was the daughter of Bennie and Pearl Minks (Rider), born in Aberdeen, Indiana on October 30, 1943. On March 12, 1960, she married Larry H. Kinman, and together they shared more than 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2022. Diana survives and is lovingly remembered by her mother, Pearl Minks of North Port, Florida; her sisters, Reta Sprecher of North Port, Florida and Bonnie Cunningham of Aurora, Indiana; her son, Larry Jr. and his wife Diane of Greensburg, Indiana; and her daughter, Kimberly Ouellette (Kinman) and her husband Brian of Columbus, Indiana. Diana’s cherished grandchildren include granddaughter Carla Kinman Umphries and her husband Andy, grandsons James Kinman and his wife Beth, Preston Johnson and his wife Deidree, and Clayton Johnson and his wife Samantha. She is also survived by eleven beloved great-grandchildren. Diana was cherished by her family and friends for her kindness, leaving a lasting legacy of love that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Diana worked at Hastings Department Store in Aurora, Indiana before moving to Columbus, Indiana and worked for JC Penney in accounting and retail. She retired in 2017 after over 30 years of service, and devoted herself to her family, spending time as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Diana deeply loved the time spent with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory on Friday, March 27th, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Larry Antle will conduct a celebration of life service following visitation at 11:00 am. Mike Jones will be overseeing burial at Eastview Cemetery in Patriot, Indiana at 3:00 pm.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made through Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory toward either the American Cancer Society or the Bartholomew County Humane Society, in Diana’s memory.
