Sheryl Lynn Benefiel, age 81, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on April 27, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1944, in Greensburg, Indiana, to Arthur and Judith Ellen Burns Tucker. Sheryl lived a life marked by love, kindness, and quiet grace.

Sheryl was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She was a great cook and took pride in the meals she prepared, which brought comfort and togetherness to those she loved. Her home was a place where family and friends felt valued, and her gentle presence made every gathering brighter. It was very apparent when visiting her home, one could see she loved the holidays. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and those roles were among the most important in her life.

She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman who gave so much of herself to others. Sheryl had a special way of making people feel cared for, and her words and actions reflected the tenderness of her heart. When Sheryl’s family told her they loved her, she was known for saying, “I love you more,” a phrase that became a cherished expression of her affection and the deep love she shared with her family. Her family will forever hold close the memory of her sweet spirit and the comfort she brought simply by being near.

Sheryl enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and found happiness in the things that brought peace and connection. She loved playing Scrabble, a pastime that reflected both her sharp mind and her enjoyment of time spent with others. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping at Brookville Lake when the children were younger, creating memories that would be treasured for a lifetime. She also loved watching and feeding the birds and took delight in sunflowers, finding beauty in nature and in the quiet moments of each day.

Music was another source of joy for Sheryl, especially the music of the 1970s. She especially enjoyed soft rock, and those familiar songs often added warmth. Her appreciation for music was part of what made her such a thoughtful and classy lady, someone with a timeless sense of style and grace. She carried herself with dignity and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Sheryl Lynn Benefiel’s life was a beautiful reflection of devotion, warmth, and compassion. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. When her family shares the thoughtful phrase with each other, “I love you,” Sheryl’s words will no doubt ring in their ear, “I Love YOU More.”
