Oram L. Ott

Oram L. Ott, 87, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on May 17, 2026. He was born on December 1, 1938, in Bartholomew County, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Ott; his parents, William and Tressa Ott; his daughter, Teresa Richie; his son, Robert Ott; his sisters, Sarah Carter, Jessie Johnson, and Jane Hoffman; his brothers, John and Robert Ott; and his grandson, Robert Ott II. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Ott, Ashley and April Von Hone, as well as his sister, Carolyn Farris.

Oram retired from Cummins Engine Company after years of dedicated service. He was a member of First Christian Church. Those who knew Oram will remember him as a kind and generous man who cared deeply for others.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 28, 2026 at Jewell-Rittman
Funeral Service and Crematory with Steven Mitchell officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
