Brian Lloyd Houshour, who was born on January 11, 1979, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of James Brian Houshour and Brenda Gale Erwin Edwards. Brian passed away on June 18, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He lived a life marked by devotion, quiet strength, and a genuine love for the people and pastimes that brought him joy. He was a man who valued family above all else, and he carried that devotion into every part of his life. Brian married Gloria Chapman on April 12, 2019. She survives.
Brian was known as a loving husband, a proud father, and a true family man. He cherished his wife and children and found great happiness in the simple, meaningful moments they shared together. Brian was looking forward to becoming a grandfather in December.
He was also a man of many interests and talents. Brian enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons, where his imagination and sense of fun came to life among friends and fellow players. He found peace and excitement in hunting squirrel and fishing, pastimes that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and his patience and skill. Music was another important part of his life, and he enjoyed the way it could lift spirits, create memories, and bring people together. Brian also had a gift in the kitchen and was widely regarded as a great cook, someone who could prepare a meal that made others feel welcome and cared for.
Brian dedicated 12 years of his professional life to NTN, where he worked as a lead CAD tech designer. He took pride in his work and was respected for his knowledge, dependability, and leadership. His colleagues knew him as someone who approached his responsibilities with care and professionalism, and he contributed meaningfully to the work around him. His long career reflected his strong work ethic and his commitment to doing his best in all that he undertook.
Brian’s life was one of love, dedication, and quiet accomplishment. He leaves behind a legacy of family devotion, hard work, and the many memories created through shared meals, outdoor adventures, music, and time spent with those he held dear. Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, his life stands as a reminder of the importance of kindness, loyalty, and living with heart.
