Timothy Lee “Big T” Arrington, 66, passed away on the evening of August 22, 2026.
Tim was born on January 12, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana, to John and Mildred (Hagden) Arrington. He grew up at Grandview Lake, where he was an avid skier, scuba diver and loved being on the water. Through his father, “Big John” he also developed a lifelong love of cars, racing, and motorcycles.
Tim was self-employed, operating a towing and recovery service, Arrington Towing Service, for many years. He took great pride in his work and community and was known for his passion for anything with wheels and a motor. Above all, Tim cherished the people he loved and the memories made with family and friends.
He is survived by his three children, Matthew Arrington, Melissa Sinclair, and John Arrington; seven grandchildren, Aydan, Ava, Tyler, Eleanor, Cooper, Clay, and Cruz; his sister, Rita Davis; his nieces, Julie and Tamara, and their families; and his significant other, Rebecca “Becky” Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved brother and hero, John Robert (JR) Arrington, who gave his life in Vietnam in 1968, and his great niece Kayla Branum.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be announced at a later date. Family and friends are invited to share a favorite memory or sign the online guest registry at www.JewellRittman.com
