Brian Keith Lee, age 62, of Columbus, passed away on October 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of fierce loyalty and an open heart.
Born in Columbus and raised in Hope, Brian attended Hauser High School. He was a man who knew the value of hard work, spending many years pouring his sweat into concrete construction before bringing his reliable skills to building maintenance at Nagakura Engineering Works. Brian was best known for his massive heart and standard of generosity; he was loyal to a fault, a true protector, and a friend you could always count on.
When Brian wasn’t working, he was happiest with the wind in his face on his motorcycle, out on the open road or with a fishing pole in his hand. But nothing took priority over his people. He was blessed with an incredible circle of lifelong friends, keeping a tight bond with buddies he grew up with from childhood. Above all, Brian lived for his family. He loved deeply, and nothing brought a brighter smile to his face or warmer joy to his soul than spending time with his grandchildren.
He is reunited in peace with his mother, Kathleen June Lee, and his brothers, Mike Lee and Robert Lee.
His loving spirit lives on in his daughter, Keiona Lee; his stepdaughter, Kendra Janes; and his former spouse and friend, April Lee. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Bechelli; his nephew, Stevie Bechelli; his niece, Paige Lee; and the grandchildren who hung the moon, Ethan, Kinsley, Jameson, Karmyn, Mallory, and Robert.
Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Brian’s life on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory. Visit www.JewellRittman.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
