Allen Eugene Morrison

Allen Eugene Morrison, known to family and friends as Allen, passed away on October 20, 2026, in Columbus, Indiana, at the age of 67. He was born on December 15, 1958, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to his family, steady work, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. Allen was a loving and generous man whose presence was a source of comfort and strength to those who knew him.

Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cassandra Aleene Smith Morrison. Their life together was one of love and companionship, and her memory remained close to his heart. He is survived by his son, Jonathon Allen Morrison and his wife, Angela, and his daughter, Jessica Ann Morrison and her husband, Ronald Sterling. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Emily Lee Ann Morrison, Kristopher Lewis Sterling, Rachel Aleene Sterling, Kameron Michael Sterling and Cody De Haven, who brought him great pride and joy.

Throughout his working years, Allen was employed by Bartholomew County Highway and Dorel Manufacturing. He was known as a dependable and hardworking man who took pride in doing his job well. His strong work ethic and commitment to responsibility reflected the character that guided him in all areas of life. Those who worked alongside him will remember his steady nature and the respect he earned through his actions.

Allen found enjoyment in watching NASCAR, football, wrestling, and movies. These interests gave him moments of relaxation and entertainment, and he appreciated the excitement and companionship that came with following the sports and stories he enjoyed. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren, and those moments were among the most meaningful in his life. His family was the center of his world, and he valued every opportunity to be with them.

Funeral services for Allen will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 22, 2026 in Jewell-Rittman Funeral Service and Crematory with Pastor Cameron Going officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest next to his wife in Brown County Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to Breast Cancer Awareness in memory of Cassandra.
