Agnes Louise Mires Benefiel Barnes, 85, of Midway Drive, died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Kindred Health and Rehabilitation. Agnes was born May 18, 1930 in Westport, the daughter of Roy M. and Freda Daisy (Bishop) Mires. Survivors include her sons, Daniel James Barnes of Brown County and Gary Lynn Benefiel of Indianapolis; daughters, Trina Dee (Paul) Burton of Milroy and Terre Combs of Georgia; sisters, Sharon Porter of North Vernon and Dorothy Hoover of Greenwood; and grandchildren, Amy, Fred, Beth, Heather, Lisa, Jeremy, Jimmy, Christina, Jonas, Pam and Jodie. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jamie Dorn Benefiel; brothers, Roy Mires Jr., Paul Mires, Arnold Mires, Donald Mires, Marlin Mires and Allen Mires; and a sister, Reba.
