Alex D. Dickherber

Alexander David Dickherber, 52, of Columbus, passed away on October 4, 2023, at his home. Alex was born February 3, 1971, in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Donald J. and Marcia A. Cart Dickherber. He married Rosa Elia Martinez on September 17, 2022. Alex worked as an electrician throughout his adult life, employed by MERCI Electric and other contractors. Most recently, he started his own Electrical business, Columbus Electric Service. Alex enjoyed mobile games on his phone and watching sports on television, especially when the St. Louis Cardinals were playing. He is survived by his wife Rosa; his son Andrew (McKenna) David of Hanover, Indiana; his father Don Dickherber of Columbus; a sister Amanda (Troy) Fleming of Columbus; nephews Rhett (Janelle) and Wyatt (Maddie) Fleming; as well as an uncle Michael Cart. Alex was preceded in death by his mother Marcia A. Dickherber on May 5, 2022. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Riordan officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.
