  9. I was Alex (and Ashlee’s!) 8th grade Language Arts teacher. Alex was such a tender-hearted, earnest, and hard-working student. 10. Rob, I was saddened about the passing of Alex. It seems like just yesterday the boys were playing baseball at Clifty Park. Remember those good times. I will always remember Alex. God bless you and your family. Jim Beamish

  11. To my brother Rob, his incredible wife Kim, and my amazing niece and nephew, Ashlee and Drewbydoo,
It is so very difficult to put into words the loss we are all experiencing now. When a loved one leaves us, especially far too soon, the emptiness we feel has a tendency to overcome us….please try to not let that happen. From my conversations with Alex and Ashlee in the backyard pool (nobody could understand what we were saying, but we sure did 🤣🤣💝💝), playing out in the yard for hours, and all the family trips taken together as the kids were growing up, these memories continue to fill my heart and make me smile. You will always be family. So maybe Alex was onto something all those years ago – I’m gonna pour myself a big glass of chocolate milk and see if that helps ease this pain that is in my “goose egg” and my heart. Love you always, Carl

  12. I had the privilege of coaching Alex in baseball and was able to experience his high character and determination for four years. He was one of those guys who supported his teammates, worked hard, and hit laser beams.

  13. I am very saddened to hear about Alex’s passing; this is shocking. He was a kind gentleman, and I always appreciated our conversations at the Fountain Square office. His presence made me feel safer since he was one of the men on campus. Our group supervision felt like a safe space where colleagues could share their thoughts, encourage one another, and laugh together. I am grateful to have met Alex. May he rest in peace.
