SERVICES:FUNERAL: Will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday April 5, 2017, at Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Cash officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. To view Allen's memorial video, please CLICK HEREAllen Duane McIntire, 75, of Magnolia Drive, Columbus, passed away at 9:10 p.m. March 31, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Allen was born July 10, 1941, in Franklin, the son of John W. and Paulena Lewis McIntire. He married Carolyn A. McAdams on September 10, 1966, in Scottsburg, Indiana. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Cummins Engine Company, retiring in May of 2002, after 38 years of service. Allen enjoyed woodcarving, photography and traveling and loved to go cycling. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn A. McIntire; daughter, Angie (Andre Gierczynski) McIntire of Tempe, Arizona; son, Robert A. McIntire of Columbus; granddaughter, Harley A. McIntire; brother, Jim McIntire of Seymour; sister, Dianne McIntire Henderson of Seymour; as well as several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnny McIntire.
