Allyssia Ann Christman

Allyssia Ann Christman, 17, of Edinburgh, died at 2:22 p.m. October 16, 2016, at Methodist Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.   Allyssia was born December 26, 1998, in Columbus, the daughter of Paul Christman Jr. and Kendra Holzhausen. She enjoyed swimming, animals and helping others. She was loved by her family and friends. Allyssia was a role model for her younger sister Madison, whom she was also very protective of. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Survivors include her father, Paul (fiancée, Grace Arbuckle) Christman Jr. of Columbus; mother, Kendra Holzhausen of Edinburgh; sister, Madison Christman of Columbus; grandparents, Diane and Paul Christman Sr. of Columbus, and Helen and Jeff King of Edinburgh; boyfriend, Austin Wade; aunt and uncle, Naomi and Brian Ferrell; and a cousin, Nathan Mifflin. She was preceded in death by her cousin Nicolas Mifflin.
