Angela "Angie" Sue Barker

Angela “Angie” Sue Barker, 63, of Elizabethtown, Indiana, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on March 22, 2023. She was born on January 5, 1960, to the late James Owen and Lillian Hook Owen. Angie was united in marriage to Jeff on June 11, 1983.
Angie grew up in Hope and received her GED from the Mcdowell Education Center in Columbus. She worked at Cummins as a production associate for 14 years and was a member of Flintwood Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with Jeff and volunteering at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Angie had a deep love for her grandchildren, her family, her church; and most importantly, her love for Jesus, who has now welcomed her home.
Angie is survived by her husband Jeff; her daughters; Valerie (Chris) Lane and Laura (Eric) Mullins; grandchildren Lilly, Owen, Grier, Hudson, and Thatcher; niece Traci (Chris) Simpson along with their children Brandon and Ciera; and her brother James Owen. Angela is also survived by several extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Gerald Mann; sisters; Nita Ziegler, Linda Dorsett, and Rhonda Owen.
Funeral Services for Angie will be held on Tuesday, March, 28th 2023, at 11:00 am at Flintwood Wesleyan Church with Reverend Wes Jones and Reverend Derek Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Flintwood Wesleyan Church between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and also one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Springer Cemetery, Elizabethtown, Indiana.
A special thank you to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana staff and the palliative care team for the love and compassion they gave Angie over the last six years.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Jeff, I’m so sorry for your loss. Angie is such a strong woman that fought so very hard. I will never forget all the races we went to together and the week together in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. I will continue praying for you thru this grief process!
