Anna Elizabeth England, 77, of Boohers Court, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at her home. Mrs. England was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church where she loved attending services and working with the Bible School. She loved to sing, especially with several groups through her church. A baby sitter throughout her life, she was a loving mother and grandmother. Born in Edmonton, Ky., March 28, 1934, Mrs. England was the daughter of M.T. and Lannie Jessie. She married J.T. England Dec. 6, 1948. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 2005. Mrs. England is survived by a son, Terry (Connie) England of Columbus, IN; daughters, Mary (James) Steuri of Osgood, IN, Kathy Forrest of Columbus, IN and Lisa (Danny) Burton of Columbus, IN; a brother, James Maxie Jessie of Edmonton, KY; a sister, Norma Jean Bennett of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Thomas G. Puterbaugh, Marlene R. Downey, Richard Forrest, Clint Forrest, Aleisha Hennsley, Christopher England, Talisa Burnett, Amanda Lauyans and Jayde Stephens; 12 great-grandchildren and one expected. She also is survived by her loving dog, Jakey England. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Penny England Brown; three brothers; six sisters; and a son-in-law, Rick Forrest. FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Poynter and Ronnie Hampton officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 and one hour prior to the service on Friday. BURIAL: Old Union Cemetery, Bartholomew County, Indiana. MEMORIALS: Hospice of South Central Indiana.
