Anne G. Kavelman, 77, of Foxpointe Drive, died at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Keepsake, Village. Anne graduated from Toronto University, with a degree in English education, and spent her life as an advocate for children with special needs. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. Born in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, July 18, 1934, Anne was the daughter of William Ward and Susan Grieves Ward, Her husband, Douglas Alan Kavelman preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Robert D. (Lisa Ann) Kavelman of Columbus; a daughter, Carol Lynn Kavelman of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Robert Eric D. Kavelman of Appleton, WI; Clayton Boyd Sanders of Holt, MI, Autumn Catherine Kavelman of Columbus, IN, and Kathryn Elizabeth Sanders of Holt, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Diane Beverly Sanders. Memorial contributions may be made to the Association for Retarded Citizens of Indiana. SERVICES: 3:00 p.m. Friday January 6, 2012 VISITATION: 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. PLACE: Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home
