Anthony Joseph “Tony” Exner, 52, passed away from this life at 4:32 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility surrounded by his family. He was born May 13, 1966, in Columbus, the son of Larry and Maryann Exner. He was a skilled machinist in prior years. Anyone who knew Tony knows how much he liked to listen to country music, especially Hank Williams Jr. He liked to hunt and fish with his dad and spent time watching old T.V. shows such as Andy Griffith and Gun Smoke. He also loved to watch Jeopardy with his mom. Tony enjoyed spending special moments with his niece and nephew. The long conversations we always had will be dearly missed and the promises made will never be forgotten. Survivors include his parents, Maryann and Larry of Columbus; sister, Kelly (Jay) Moore and brother, Greg (Jane Harris) Exner, both of Columbus; and his niece, Megan Moore and nephew, Jordan Moore, both of Columbus. Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice and Edward Herr, Wanda Faulkner and James Exner; and a brother, Brian Exner. There will be no services for Tony. Cremation is planned and inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
