Barbara L B. Henney, affectionately known as Barb to her family and friends, departed this life on July 25, 2025, bringing a chapter to a close on a life lived with unwavering love and grace. Born on February 9, 1966, in Baltimore, MD, Barb's journey led her down a path of immeasurable affection, warmth, and selflessness, touching the hearts of all those who had the privilege to know her. Her final days were spent surrounded by love in Elizabethtown, IN. Barb's personal life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. She married the love of her life, Brian W. Henney, on July 5, 1997, establishing a partnership filled with mutual respect and devotion. They were blessed with four remarkable daughters, Patricia, Christina, Megan Henney, and Anna (Harron, Jr.) Lee. Barb's role as a mother was her greatest joy—she raised her daughters with an immense sense of caring and an unshakeable foundation of values. These attributes extend to her grandchildren, Jacob, Skylar, and Gavin Lee, who will forever carry the torch of her legacy. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ernest Booth and Erma Lee (Boone) Booth. Barb was the cherished sister of Linda (Keith) McDaniel and Timothy (Jennifer) Booth. The bonds of sibling love and companionship they shared were truly special. Her extended family, which included her brothers and sisters-in-law Toni and Dennis Wendel, Kevin and Sue Henney, and Scott and Lori Henney, along with her 16 nieces and nephews, was an integral part of her life, strengthening the ties of kinship at every occasion. Barb's outlook on life was embodied by her pursuit of finding "the lemonade out of the lemons" that came her way. Her ability to remain positive and find joy in even the most trying circumstances was an inspiration to many. Her gentle demeanor and thoughtful nature were the pillars of her existence, characteristics that defined her as a truly loving individual. Barb Henney was the kind of person who uplifted everyone around her, and her absence leaves a profound void. Yet, through the love she gave and the memories she crafted, her spirit endures. Her light continues to shine in the countless lives she touched with her enduring kindness. Barb's life was a journey that will forever be treasured, and her memory will continue to be a beacon of love and gentility for all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at Noon Saturday until the service time at the funeral home.
