Barbara M. Boyd, 81, of East 13th Street, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Barbara graduated from Greensburg High School. She was previously employed at the former C.P. Electronics, was a member of Columbus Moose Lodge No. 398 and a 50-year member of the American Legion. She was an avid TV watcher, especially soap operas, and was a Cincinnati Reds fan. Born in Indianapolis June 28, 1930, Mrs. Boyd was the daughter of Earl James and Alice Dora Haugh Decker. She married Richard E. Boyd Nov. 28, 1954. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kimberly R. Boyd of Columbus; and her best friend, Mary Hatton of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Buchanan. FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. VISITATION: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012 and one hour prior to the service on Monday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
