Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dr. Bence Miller leaves a legacy of love and passion for the Kingdom of God behind! He impacted my life in powerful ways. Traveling with him in the first GBS group of his presidency, sitting under his passionate ministry, and experiencing his personal care for us are blessings I will forever cherish! May God comfort each of you! Thank You for sharing him with us!

  2. Our love and prayers are with the Miller family during this time. We appreciate the kindness shown to our family by the Millers during our time at GBS. Lord bless.

  3. The Miller family & The Fox family have been friends for many years. Bro. Miller pastored my home church, Franklin Wesleyan Church, when I was a little boy. We attended campmeeting every year in the 70s & 80s and I have very fond memories of those days. I appreciated his passion for revival. Praying for the family during this time.

  4. He loved preachers and preaching! He was a sharp dresser! One of his favorite scriptures was – Prov.11:24 – “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty”. I will always love and remember him!

  5. John Parker, Steve Vernon, and I were his “boys.” Dorothy Bowen Klass played the piano for our trio as we logged many miles traveling with President Miller for GBS. We had some great times together! My prayers are with David and Martha, Jonathan and Barb, and all their children.

  6. Our love and prayers for the Miller Family. Dr. Bence Miller has blest and touched my life and my wife for all the many years attending Camp Meeting at GBS. What wonderful memories we have of him and his vibrant life and testimony. We are richer for having known him. WE will meet you dear friend in that pearly white city with Jesus.

  7. To, Jonathan & David and your families, we send our most sincere condolences in this time of sorrow. Your father was a statesman, a gentleman, a Christian leader. His genius was in his ability to be a jolly good fellow without neglecting his passion and his call In kingdom building. His ability to blend the above listed traits of character made him a success in leading faculty, staff, and students at GBS. He was also a favorite with the campus kids. He earned their respect by showing them kindness. The pleasure was ours to know and work along side President Miller. Thank you for sharing your father with so many for the cause of Christ.

  8. Our deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Bence C. Miller. We praise God for the impact this one life has made for the cause of holiness.

  9. Dr. Miller had a profound and lasting impact on my life. During my early spiritual formation I learned the value of perseverance, faith, hope and the supreme significance of prayer from this man of great faith. I prayed at his side many time around the giant altar in the chapel. I will never forget the first time his voice came over the intercom in the dorm calling my name! FEARFUL!! He called me to his office and sent me to preach my very fist sermon at a mission downtown. I spent the next 2 years canvassing the inner city telling the good news of Jesus and preaching in that small store front mission. Our quartet traveled with him occasionally and we learned about his great sense of humor and how hilarious he was. During our summer travels I would send him “road reports” and he went out of his way to let me know how much he appreciated the communication. He was a kind, gracious and loving spiritual giant living among us and his influence for the Kingdom reverberates around the world and from generation to generation.

  10. Dear David & Jonathan and families, Our prayers and thoughts are with you in the passing of your Dad. Its always hard to let our Dads go, but it is comforting to know he is in Heaven now rejoicing with Jesus and all his other loved ones and friends. It is so wonderful to have the blessed hope of knowing we will see our Dads again one day very soon. Love and prayers, Dean & Shaila Puckett

  11. Dear Jonathan and David it is comforting to know that your Dad is in a better place rejoicing with the saints. You are in my thoughts and prayers Love,Barbara

  12. A man who loved God and worked diligently and tirelessly to advance His kingdom. May God bless his memory.

  13. When I arrived @ GBS in the fall of 92 Dr. Miller was president…he was always kind to me – he was a strong leader who did mind the responsibility of leadership…our prayers are with the Miller Family – May God be near you all … Mark & Kathyrn Stetler and the Faith Mission Church family in Bedford, IN

  14. I know it has been a while since he went to be with the Lord, but today I woke up remembering this wonderful man of God. I will never forget when I arrived in Cincinnati in the Fall of 1985. Bro. Marvin Stamper and his wife picked me up from the airport and drove me to the GBS campus. We couldn’t communicate much since I came from Venezuela and spoke very little English. Bro. Miller was such a wonderful mentor to me during my years there, he made a difference and helped me shape my future. I look forward to seeing and hugging him some day when we all meet in glory.

  15. Cynthia Sillings Dooley

I will always remember the Godliness and kindness he and Cordilia showed me, while at God’s Bible School.
