Bernice Herr December 06, 1919 - October 05, 2008 Bernice Herr, 88, of Columbus died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Four Seasons Retirement Center. Mrs. Herr was a lifelong resident of Bartholomew County. She retired from Sears in 1982 after 30 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a member of the Women of Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Mrs. Herr was born December 6, 1919, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the daughter of Henry and Izella Bradshaw Arnholt. She married Edward Herr in 1940. Survivors include sons, Dana L. (Letitia) Herr of Columbus, Indiana and Kevin L. (Teresa) Herr of Elizabethtown, Indiana; a daughter, Mary Ann (Larry) Exner of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Greg (Jane) Exner, Anthony Exner, Kelly (Jay) Moore, Darrin Herr, Christopher Herr, Aimee (Marty) Overshiner, Jason Terrell, Jacob (Dixie) Terrell, Keri Terrill, Caden McGaha and Heather McGaha; and great-grandchildren, Megan Moore, Jordan Moore, Kaylea Overshiner, Kristian Overshiner, Maggie Terrell, Marcus Terrell, Kayla McKay, Peyton McKay and Shelby Graham. Mrs. Herr was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; her parents; a brother, Kenneth Arnholt; and sisters, Mildred Bailey, Marguerite Shireman and Armilda Reinking.
