England, 81, of Lucas Way, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Bessie attended the Jewell Village Separate Baptist Church. Born in Metcalfe County, KY, Dec. 7, 1931, Mrs. England was the daughter of Lee Walker England and Lillie Mae Jessie England. She married Carlton England, June 30, 1951. He preceded her in death Dec. 25, 2010. Survivors include a son, Ron (Patty) England, Columbus, IN; a daughter, Kathy (Duane) Knapp, Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Michelle Kelsay, Melissa Spears, Kevin England, Doug England, Steven England and Jessica England; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Flossie Chaney, Horse Cave, KY, and Caroline Poynter, Horse Cave, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, David England; brothers, Charles England, Frankie England and Phillip England; and sisters, Gladys Poynter and Pernie Fancher.
