BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery Betty Jean Crigler, 78, of Beech Drive, died at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Fla. She was born in Casey County, Ky., October 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Carlos Marion Compton and Fanny Lynn Royalty Compton. She married Richard Franklin Crigler on November 23, 1956, and he survives. Betty was a retired school teacher with Kentucky School Corporation. She was a member of First Christian Church and a huge Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Carlos F. (Teri) Crigler of Columbus, and Ronald D. Crigler of Marina Del Rey, Calif.; daughters, Lynna L. Crigler of Louisville, Ky., and Rene Crigler of Monterey, Calif.; and a sister, Lorain Throsper of Lexington, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Society.

She was born in Casey County, Ky., October 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Carlos Marion Compton and Fanny Lynn Royalty Compton. She married Richard Franklin Crigler on November 23, 1956, and he survives.
