FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Hospice of South Central Indiana 2626 17th St. Columbus, IN 47201 Billy Ray Maggard Sr., 73, of Columbus, went home to be with the lord at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at his home, with his wife and five children by his side. Billy retired from Golden Foundry after 38 years of service. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Indianapolis Colts. He loved his four legged friends, Jimmy, Tootsie and Scooter. He was a member of Big Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Born in Letcher County, Ky., March 3, 1939, Billy was the son of Archie Maggard and Ella Fields Maggard. He married Agnes Blanford June 29, 1963. Survivors include his wife; sons, Billy (Paula) Maggard, Jr. of Nashville, IN, and Archie (Patricia) Maggard of Montgomery, Alabama; daughters, Ella (Forest) Pate of Hope, IN, Anna Maggard of Columbus, IN, and Emily (Paul) Jones of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey (Charles) Hammonds of North Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Curtis Maggard; and sisters, Vita Mae Maggard, Havis Maggard and Barbara Boggs

Billy Ray Maggard Sr., 73, of Columbus, went home to be with the lord at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at his home, with his wife and five children by his side.
