Bobbie S. Thompson, 71, of Cottonwood Drive, died at 3:39 a.m. February 19, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Bobbie was born August 26, 1947, in Missouri, the daughter of Larcus and Clara Louise Posey Cobb. She married Mack A. Thompson Sr. and he preceded her in death March 7, 2002. She was previously employed at Little Champ Service Station (which later became Circle K), Cosco and Cummins. Bobbie enjoyed sewing and watching NASCAR. She loved her grandbabies very much. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday, February 27, 2019, graveside at East Franklin Cemetery in Phil Campbell, Alabama. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the donor's choice of charity. Survivors include her son, Mack (Ronda) Thompson Jr. of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and daughter, Alina (Cliff) Burton of Columbus; brother, Larcus “Jug” (Kay) Cobb of Columbus and a sister, Fran Stuckey of Navarre, Florida; grandchildren, Erikka (Eric) Temple, Tyson (Michelle) Matney, Cody (Viki) Nay, Shelby Bennett, Harley Yates and Toni Bennett; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack; daughter, Rebecca “Gail” Yates; and sisters, Mae Michael and Rebecca Cobb and a grandson, Mack A. Thompson, III.
