Bonnie M. Thelander

Bonnie M. Thelander, 89, of Columbus, IN, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Four Seasons Retirement Center. She was born in Bismarck, ND, on May 9, 1936, to Roy Walker and Mary Neva Walker. Bonnie married Lyle A. Thelander on June 22, 1958.

Bonnie was a committed homemaker. During her younger years, she enjoyed offering volunteer service at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Lyle A. Thelander; children, Kelly Thelander (Nick Testoni) of Virginia, and Fr. Scott Thelander of Illinois; grandchildren, Cole Testoni, Isabella Testoni, and Julianna Testoni; and sibling, LeRoy (Karen) Walker of Little Falls, MN, Donna (Jerry) Welinski of Little Falls, MN, Mabel Tinker of Jamestown, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary Walker; and several siblings.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel with Rev. Karen Hargett officiating.
