Brenda Faye McCord, 74, of Columbus, Indiana passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 2, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1950 in Columbus, Indiana, to Delbert King Jr., and Faye Spurgeon Wilbur, who preceded her.
Brenda was the beloved wife of Gary McCord, whom she married in July of 1995, and shared 29 beautiful years with. Together they raised three daughters, and had the opportunity to show love to many wonderful grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gary McCord; daughters, Amy R. Monteleone, Darci (Christopher) Baker, and Erin (Kenny) Coons; brother, Rex (Lisa) King; sister, Debbie (Kenny) King-Acton; grandchildren, Skylar Beers, Zoey Dehner, Rylee Monteleone, and Anthony Monteleone; and great-grandchild, Saige Wheeler.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with visitation running from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Following the service, Brenda will be entombed at the Garland Brook Mausoleum.
