Brenda Louise Garland of Columbus, Indiana peacefully passed from this life on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Born November 23, 1943, in Bartholomew County, she was the daughter of Vernon W., and Louththia Rose Garrison Dinn
She is survived by her daughter Tamara Ruth Collins (Gary Kinser), grandson Justin Perry (Kenbis), and great-grandchildren Christian, Chloe, Camdan, Brendan, Laken, and Hayven. Also surviving are her sister Ruth Talkington and brothers Bud and Ron Dinn (Lin).
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Aaron Collins, and brother-in-law- Ron Talkington.
Brenda was fun-loving, kind, and generous and was always there for her family and friends. She loved the game of Euchre and was always ready to play another game. She was known as the “cat lady” in her neighborhood for always taking in strays and she always had a little dog in her lap to pet.
By the family's request, a donation could be made to the local Humane Society instead of flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2024, at Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home on 25th Street in Columbus, IN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

I always loved goin to Aunt Brenda’s house. She was always so happy and always had something to do. She will be missed by many. I really cannot believe she is gone. Fly high. Rest in peace. Till we see one another again. Love always
Aunt Brenda was a beautiful soul inside and out. I loved staying all night with her and Tammy and I loved when we used to go to Schaeffer Lake together. We had so much fun. I love you and I will miss you Aunt Brenda. Rest in peace beautiful lady . 🌹

Tammy and family, my mom Margaret Taylor and I are so sorry for your loss. I remember going over to Brendas house with Aaron several times. I could tell how much he loved her and how much she loved and cared about yall!

Brenda and I worked together for many years at Irwin Union. She was always a great employee and everyone enjoyed being around her. She will be missed.

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I always enjoyed sitting around talking with her. She was so nice and fun to be around. I grew to love her as I do you and Justin. She will certainly be missed. 🩷
