Bristel Danett Merrill

Bristel Danett Merrill, 47, passed away August 20th, 2024. She was born July 25th, 1977 in Columbus, Indiana, the youngest daughter of Elma Vanest and Leslie Merrill. She was a big hearted woman with a beautiful spirit. She leaves behind her oldest son Isaiah Davis of Columbus Indiana, Cheyenne Davis of Columbus Indiana, Chailynn Davis of Columbus Indiana, and Braylon Greenlee/ Merrill of Columbus Indiana. She was preceded in death by her step-mother Nora Merrill. Bristel has a very big family, an older sister Chas Sample of Columbus, Indiana as well as a middle sister Brandy Blair of Seymour, Indiana, many nieces and nephews, and lots of extra kids running around. She graduated high school from East Carter in Grayson, Kentucky and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College. Bristel was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church since 2007, and spent several years loving the church and appreciated how good of a place it was. She was a fiery spirit who truly took “dress to impress” to a whole new level. It was her passion to always look presentable. Bristel was a loving, free spirited, funny, beautiful human being who will be so deeply missed. She will be remembered for her love for others, all the funny, crazy, happy memories with everyone and the bonus mom to many. Anyone who knew her knew how much of a blessing she was. Funeral services celebrating Bristel's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday. Following the service, those able are welcome to join at St. Peter's Lutheran School for a meal.
