MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Candria "Candy" Jean Mauk, 49, of Dawson Street, died at 10:26 p.m. May 16, 2018, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Candria was born March 6, 1969, in St. Marys, Ohio, the daughter of David Gene and Penelope Fry Tangeman. She married Ronald Keith Mauk February 12, 1989. Candy had an outgoing personality and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, couponing, and spending time with family and friends. The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Rutan officiating. Calling will be 5 p.m. until time of service Monday. Memorials may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Survivors include her mother, Penelope McGlinch of New Bremen, Ohio; husband, Ronald; children, Corey Mauk, Cassandra Mauk (Charlie Walls), and Aimee Mauk (Doug Little), all of Columbus; a sister, Susan (Jim) Lunz of Spencerville, Ohio; and grandchildren, Metallica, Matthew, Colton, Charles, Ethen, David, Audrey, Tristan, Ashley Waylon and Nicholas is due in August. Candy is also survived by her best friend Hope Smith (John Schmidt) of St. Mary’s Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, an unborn sister, and a grand-daughter named Heavenlee. Candy was loved by everyone around her and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her!

  4. WOW!!! I did not know of her passing until now. She was an individual that had a good heart and was free spirited. I remember when I came home to visit my mother while on military leave, I’d stop in to see what was going on in her world. I really enjoyed the time we had together. Now she is in the LORDs hands.
