Mr. Harlow retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years of service as a supervisor of Material Handling, retiring in 1985. He was a 1950 graduate of Hope High School and served in the U.S. Army as a tank driver during the Korean War. He was active in Hope as a baseball coach for Little League Baseball and assisted with several all-star teams. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, I.U. basketball and sports in general. Born December 25, 1932 in Shelby County, Kentucky, he was the son of Chester and Elizabeth Duncan Harlow. He married LuAnn Nolting on August 10, 1956 at the Hope Baptist Church at Hope, Indiana. Survivors include his wife; and sons, Martin (Annemarie) Harlow of Cary, North Carolina, Mark (Jonell) Harlow of Wheatland, Indiana, Mike Harlow of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Katheryn (David) Schweitzer of West Chester, Ohio. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Tori, Jace and Jaleigh Harlow, three stepgrandchildren; sister, Lois Dietz of Chicago, Illinois and three nephews survive. He enjoyed his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Carl Ray Harlow, 80 of Columbus died August 17, 2013 at his home.

LuAnn, I was sorry to hear about Carl. You made such a cute couple and I remember some of the fun we used to have together. My thoughts are with you at this time.
