March 18, 1969 ~ November 11, 2024
Carla Elizabeth Strasser, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 11, 2024, in her hometown of Columbus, Indiana. Born on March 18, 1969, to Carlos Edward Strasser and Mary O. Olmsted Strasser, Carla's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brothers, Mark Edward and Richard Kent Strasser.
A devoted member of St. Peter Evangelical Church of Waymansville. Carla's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. Her commitment to her church community was a reflection of her dedication to the principles of kindness and service that she held dear.
Carla's passion for the television series "When Calls the Heart" was more than just a hobby; it was a source of inspiration and delight. Her enthusiasm led her on an unforgettable journey to Canada, where she had the opportunity to witness the magic of the show's production firsthand. This experience was one of many highlights in a life filled with adventure and exploration.
An animal lover at heart, Carla's compassion extended to all creatures, great and small. Her dog, Frankie, was a constant companion and source of comfort, and she was known as a mother to many kitties, each of whom she nurtured with the same love and attention she gave to her human friends and family.
Carla's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Her infectious laughter and the twinkle in her eye will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Thinking of those that loved her
So sorry for your loss. We are saddened here at Bartholomew County Humane Society. We had worked with Carla on getting her loved dog all his vaccinations and neutered. God had a need for such a loving and caring person for the pets. Rest in peace. God bless the family.
