Alecia and Thomas,
I had the privilege of working with Chuck at CUAA a number of years ago now. What a joy it was to get to know Chuck. He was a dedicated Lutheran Educator who love the Lord. Chuck always had a sense of calmness and resolve when leading and those who new him appreciated his kindness and sincerity in how he treated each person with great respect and care. May God Bless you and keep you in His care in the months ahead.

Chuck was the reason I loved being on the accreditation committee. His passion for Lutheran schools, excellence, and sense of humor made a difference in my life.
As a young Lutheran educator and administrator, Chuck Winterstein was the gold standard! I served in the Central Illinois District with Chuck and he was always looking at ways to equip the church at large. His ministry was so much bigger than the school and congregation that he was serving at the time. I was blessed to walk in his shadow even aa little bit.
Chuck was always an honor to serve and work with in Decatur. He was loving and kind, especially when my family needed it.
Condolences and prayers to our loving God for the family.
