Charles W. England March 06, 1946 - January 13, 2007 Charles Wayne England Sr., 60, of Columbus, died Saturday, January 13, 2007, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. Charles graduated from Columbus High School in 1965. Charles was an Aircraft Mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Bartholomew County for 15 years. He then worked for Columbus Cab for three years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. Charles was attending Parkside Baptist Church. Mr. England was born March 6, 1946 in Edmonton, Ky., the son of Charles M. and Dorothy L. England. Survivors include his parents, of Columbus, Ind.; sons, Charles (April) England Jr. of Louisiana and Scott (Tara) England of Columbus, Ind.; daughters, Dorothy (Eric) Ziegler and Julie (Rich) Varvel, both of Louisiana, and Kasey England and Carrie England, both of Columbus, Ind.; brothers, Donnie (Ann) England of Florida and Randy Jessie of Columbus, Ind.; sisters, Joyce (Dallas) Spencer, Gail (Marvin) Root and Peggy Rogers, all of Columbus, Ind.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Jasper. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Poynter and Dr. Bill Bailey officiating. VISITATION: Will be Monday January 15, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
