Chase A. Shoaf February 27, 1992 - January 10, 2010 Chase A. Shoaf, 17, of South U.S. 31, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Chase was a member of the Senior Class at Columbus East High School and performed with the Center Stage Choir there. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Boy Scout Troop No. 506. Chase enjoyed working on cars, mountain biking, playing golf, Xbox as well as ultimate Frisbee. Survivors include his parents, John A. and Teresa A. Wright Shoaf of Columbus; a brother, Trey A. Shoaf; sisters, Ashley (Neil) Crapo of Sahuaruta, AZ and Abby and Chelsie Shoaf of Columbus; maternal grandparent, Joann Ray of Richmond, IN and paternal grandparents, Paul and Elsie Shoaf of Hope. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Wright. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with N. Strait Hill officiating. CALLING: 3:30 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Following the service there will be a private dedication of the grave and burial at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
