Christel D. Burton Swift

Christel D. Burton Swift, 53, of Columbus, died at 10:38 a.m. January 7, 2019, at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehab. Christel was born May 5, 1965, in Columbus, the daughter of Donald Wayne and Margie M. Merchant Burton. She married Greg H. Swift February 29, 1996. She enjoyed drawing, painting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her mother, Margie M. Burton of Columbus; husband, Greg; stepson, Bobby Lee Sharp of Summerset, Kentucky and stepdaughters, Amanda (Chris) Hatter of Middleburg, Kentucky and Tracy Swift of Kentucky; a half-brother, Kevin Burton of Hope; sisters, Angela M. Burton and Shelly Findley, both of Columbus; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Wayne Burton and a half-brother, Keith Burton.
