To view Clyde's memorial video, please CLICK HERE Clyde Arthur Gaw Jr., 79, of Edinburgh, passed away October 26, 2016, at his home. Clyde was born on March 29, 1937, in South Bend to Clyde and Betty Gaw. He attended Walkerton High School. Clyde enjoyed sports and playing baseball at Park Place with local teams. Mr. Gaw served in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957 and the Indiana National Guard from 1975 to 1984. Clyde worked for Rockwell-Dodge in Columbus for over 20 years and was a car buff. From 1972 to 2014 Clyde sang tenor barbershop style songs a cappella with the Columbus Chordsman, Columbus Chordliters and other barber shop quartets and ensemble groups. He was a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) for many years. Clyde is survived by his wife, Maggie Whitlock Gaw; children, Clyde III (Maria) Gaw, Kevin Gaw, Patty (Michael) De Stefano, Tony (Bridgette) Gaw; Tim (Lora) Gaw; his first spouse, Evelyn Wilmeth (Kaercher); grandchildren, Nick Nunemaker, Abigale Casteel, Payton Gaw, Kelby Gaw, Kristen Gaw and Nash Chastain; great-grandchildren, Landon and Lucas Casteel, Kaylee and Korra Nunemaker; and a cousin, Carol Scott. Mr. Gaw was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie; mother, Betty; father, Clyde Sr.; second spouse, Dorothy; and a beloved daughter-in-law, Debbie Gaw. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the United States Veterans Administration and staff at the Roudebush Medical Center for the care and support Clyde received during the final years of his life.






You were loved very much by so many and you will be very much missed.
I only met Clyde a short time of 5 mo. He was a very nice person an his wife Maggie very sweet people to sit an talk with.Im sure he will be missed by many.
