Cora Brock December 09, 1931 - October 05, 2008 Cora Brock, 76, of Iowa Street died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South in Greenwood. Mrs. Brock retired from Four Seasons Retirement Center in 1995. A member of Lowell General Baptist Church, she loved sewing, quilting, flower gardening and spending time with her family. Born in Metcalf County, Ky., Dec. 9, 1931, Mrs. Brock was the daughter of Alexander and Eva Pearl Atwell Jeffries. She married Garnett L. Jude Brock Dec. 27, 1948. Survivors include a son, Mark A. (Lisa) Brock of Columbus; daughters, Connie D. Brock and Judy K. (John) Woods, both of Columbus, and Robin L. (Danny) Gassaway of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Kimberly Copeland, Ted TJ Knox, Michelle Munoz, Melinda Knox, Joey Gassaway, Jessica Gilbert, Ryan Gassaway, Dylan Brock and Dustin Brock; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Annie (Bennie) Lyons of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 15, 2005; her parents; and sisters, Gertrude Harris and Runnell Young-Smith. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating.
