Coral Mae Whipker October 01, 1926 - October 05, 2010 Coral Mae Whipker, 84, of Elizabethtown, died at 8:56 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Mrs. Whipker was a 50-year member of The Country Club, a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star and a member of Lizettes Homemakers Extension Club. She loved her life as a farmers wife, making many trips with her husband to Farmers Market in Indianapolis. She was a very caring person, who always made lunches for the farm workers. She was affiliated with the Azalia Farmers Market and previously attended Azalia Friends Church. Born in Indianapolis Oct. 1, 1926, Mrs. Whipker was the daughter of Earl C. Booth and Beatrice Welch Booth. She married Bennie K. Whipker November 23, 1958. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Keith (Patty) Whipker of Elizabethtown and Brian (Linda) Whipker of Cary, NC; a daughter, Naomi (David) Creekmore of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, John Matt Harden, Tyler Harden, Josh Whipker, Kyle Whipker, Benjamin Whipker, Jeremy Whipker, Missy Davidson, Heather Garrett and Kristy Fritsch; great-grandchildren, Leah and Coryn Harden, Phillip and Paige Harden, Bryan, Caleb and Rylee Davidson, Braden, Maddie, Marissa, Garrett, Landon and Nathan Fritsch; and sisters, Mary Covington of Apopka, FL. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Fred Darling officiating. CALLING: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. BURIAL: Harmony Cemetery in Bartholomew County. Donations Information Coral had a lifelong love of agriculture and especially horticulture. In her honor, memorial contributions may be made through the Heritage Fund to a newly established scholarship endowment that will provide both current and past members of 4-H and FFA with scholarships to attend IVY Tech or Purdue University to pursue a degree in agriculture.
