Cynthia J. Poplawski February 18, 1950 - January 03, 2010 Cynthia J. Poplawski, 59, of Washington Street died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. After retiring from Cummins Inc., Ms. Poplawski poured herself into her grandchildren and into pursuing her personal relationship with the Lord. Born in Cook County, Ill., Feb. 18, 1950, Cynthia was the daughter of the late George William Poplawski and Delores Virginia Santowski LaMountain of Arlington Heights, Ill. Survivors include her mother; a son, Preston Humbel of Columbus; a daughter, Julie M. Barry of Shelbyville, Ky.; grandchildren, Gracelynn, Abbigale and Della-Ray Humbel and Jessica, Michael and Joshua Barry; a brother, George William Poplawski Jr. of California; and a sister, Susan Celeste Poplawski of Georgia. She is also survived by a fellowship of believers at Community Church of Columbus where she found love and support through the body of Christ.
