VISITATION: 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Monday August 25, 2014 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home THERRE WILL BE NO FUNERAL SERVICE Dale Lee Hull, 82, of Lebanon, Indiana died August 20, 2014. Born January 17, 1932 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Homer M. and Lillian D. (Massey) Hull. He was a 1948 graduate of Columbus High School (barely) and attended Franklin College. Mr. Hull worked over 20 years at Cummins Engine Co., until ending as Plant Superintendent in 1971. Subsequent stints in upper management followed at Rupp Industries; Cincinnati Milicron and Lunkenheimer Valve until returning to Columbus, IN in 1978 to begin a series of entrepreneurial activities until he retired in 1995. Mr. Hull was chairman of the Board of the Cummins Employees Recreational Association during the time the Board oversaw the construction of Ceraland Park, which opened in 1963. Mr. Hull was also Chairman of the Board overseeing the construction and opening of Otter Creek Golf Course in 1964. Mr. Hull, ironically, was a lousy golfer. He once said, "I'm betting it all God has a sense of humor". In addition to being survived by his beloved wife, Susan Jane (Phillips) Lewis Hull, he is also survived by a brother, Eugene (Marilyn) Hull; daughter, Susan (Evan) Jones; son, David (Karen) Hull; Stepsons, Jim (Libby) Lewis, Steven (Luanne) Lewis and David (Melodie) Lewis; grandchildren, Justin (Raina) Jones, Lauran (Cory) Fox, and Kate, Megan, Emily and Sarah Hull; Great-grandchildren, Logan and Liberty Jones and Grace Hull. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Jane (Reeves) Hull; daughter, Teresa Lynn Baker Szarvas and brother, Donald (Carol) Hull.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I have very fond memories of Dale. I lived opposite the Hull family in Montgomery, Ohio, and our families spent many years sharing Christmases together. A sad passing but I have nothing but the happiest memories of Dale.
