Dale Wendall July 12, 1938 - January 05, 2009 Dale H. Poppy Wendall, 70, of 13th Street died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at his home. Mr. Wendall retired after working several years at Columbus Container and also was a former employee of Donnelly Corp. When he was younger, he enjoyed racing go-carts alongside his brothers. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Hope and enjoyed playing guitar and music with his family as well as playing golf and doing crossword puzzles. He adored his grandchildren. Born in Waveland July 12, 1938, Mr. Wendall was the son of Wilfred Jack and Katherine Harper Wendall. He married Pam Shireman June 22, 1974. Surviving are daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Clark and Penny (Dale) Leonard, both of Columbus; brothers, Bob (Anora) Wendall of Crawfordsville and Ronnie (Fran) Wendall of Darlington; a sister, Winnie Starnes of Waveland; a sister-in-law, Mary Wendall of Xenia, Ohio; and grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Nicole, Michael, Peyton and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Wendall; and an infant sister. Donations Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
