In keeping with Daniels wishes, cremation is planned with no services. Daniel Ewing Decker, 64, of North Vernon, died Saturday October 5, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. He was born May 14, 1949 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Susie May and James Robert Decker. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Brenda Jane Decker; daughter, Susan (Eric) Harner of Hope, Indiana; sons, Curtis and Joey Decker, both of Ohio, D.J. Decker of Arizona, Tony (Toni) and Dustin (Nellie) Decker both of North Vernon, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Leon (Betty) Decker of New Albany, Indiana; a sister, LaVincey Eldridge of Medora, Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews. Dan had a love for motorcycles, being outside, tinkering with lawnmowers and small engines. He loved his animals as well. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Green and Carolyn Ward; and a brother, Louis Decker.
