I am glad to have know Dan, he truly was a gift from God.
Dan was a wonderful person. So sorry to hear. I know he is celebrating now. He always had a kind word to say and brought a smile to my face everytime I saw him.
I am Center Shift Manager at Atterbury. I was blessed to know Dan from his work here. Always a smile every morning and always a word of encouragement for all the young people. I really have missed Dan already since he left his work here. Sorry I could not attend due to work commitments. Best wishes and God bless to all the family and friends.
Gene, Sara, Max and family I can’t put into words my emotions for your loss of this loved one. Since he is the same age as my daughter and I remember when his mom was expecting him when I was expecting Teri it brings back many memories. My heart goes out to all of you, most of all Gene and Sara remember your memories and keep strong. To his dear wife for such dedicated care. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time but in the time to come.
Thanks for all the memories, good and bad.. so glad to have been a friend..
To the family of Daniel Settle, I am very sorry for your loss and as I read about Daniel and his life it is clear that he is one that enjoyed his family and was happy with the simplier things in life. I thought I would share an encouraging thought from the bible that may help comfort you during this time. In 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 it says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God.” This is a wonderful thought that God can comfort you during this difficult time and then you can also have the ability through his comfort to help others during this time.
I worked with Dan for several years back in the early ’80’s at Ceraland Park in the maintenance shop and again at the Job Corps as a fellow CDL driver. He was an excellect driver, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. He was very good with the students at the Job Corps. I always enjoyed his smile and humor, his easy-going nature made the day go by smoothly. I miss working with him. Hope the lord has a special place for him. I sorry for your loss.
Dan was my best friend in 10th grade.he was always kind and thoughtful trustworthy and a good friend to have.a few years ago i thought about him but never got in touch..too late now.Rest in peace dan
