Danny Wayne Goodin
August 28, 1940 ~ November 17, 2024
Danny Wayne Goodin, 84, of Columbus, died at 5:25 a.m. on November 17, 2024 at his home. Danny was born August 28, 1940 in Columbia, Kentucky, the son of Lawrence and Exuria (Burton) Goodin. He married Denise Ingellis on May 1, 1984.
Danny, known for his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter was a Kentucky-born man whose heart beat in harmony with bluegrass music, he was a beacon of joy at every big family gathering. He was a wonderful father and stepfather. A truly outgoing soul, Danny never met a stranger. He could transform a simple walk into a store into an unforgettable event, chatting to everyone and sharing his excellent sense of humor. His witty banter made him the funniest member of his family, and his presence was a guaranteed uplift to everyone around him. With an insatiable interest in Native American history and genealogy, Danny's quest for knowledge was only matched by his passion for the great outdoors. He was also a lover of all things historical—devoutly researching the Civil War and spending hours absorbed in Cowboys and old Western movies. His love for fishing, attending fish fries, and his deep appreciation for Kentucky's rich heritage will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

This has to be gut-wrenching for my sister Denise. Im sorry he had to go. Many pleasant memories of him. He appeared to realize he had limited time left some time ago but carried on bravely. He helped me with stuff around the house and never asked for a dime. RIP brother. -Victor

One of my favorite uncles. My fondest memories, is taking us four wheeling down through the woods, where his son (Mark) was cutting a trail through the woods. Another memory is going fishing down on Cumberland lake and spending the weekend on a houseboat with Lemmon, Mark, and my father (Carlos). He always had me laughing. He will be missed. Brad Rooks.
