Darlene Stidham, 77, of East Karlsway Drive, died at 1:23 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care of Columbus. She was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, October 3, 1934, the daughter of Foister and Stella (Livesay) Lawson. She married Alvin Stidham on October Darlene retired from Cummins Security October 3, 1995. She had also worked at Roviar Sewing Factory, Arvin Industries and Cosco. She was a member of the Lowell General Baptist Church. Darlene is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Alvin Stidham, Columbus, IN; a son, Ron (Patty) Stidham, Paris Crossing, IN; brothers, Hiskell Lawson, Mousheim, TN, and Harold (Judy) Lawson, Rogersville,FTN; sisters, Mildred (Ben) Drinnon, Columbus, IN, Sue (Estal) Gabbard, Columbus, IN, and Carol (Marvin) Johnson, New Market, TN; and one grandchild, Shara Stidham. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Crystal Schoettmer .
